South Africa Big Game And Bird Hunts

     South Africa is often called a "World in One Country". It is the only country in Africa which can delight its visitors with snow-blanketed Alpine mountain ranges, ancient deserts, sub-tropical rainforests, and world-renowned conservation areas all linked with excellent highways and first-rate communications systems. The country's fascinating indigenous peoples include the Zulu, Ndebele, Sotho, Xhosa and San people. Southern Africa is emerging as one of the most unique and engaging travel experiences anywhere on earth.

     Extreme Outdoor Adventures is proud to offer hunting packages in South Africa with Dinare Safaris. Dinare Safaris is owned and operated by Adriaan Rall a PH with over 25 years of guiding experience in Africa. Adriaan is considered one of the premiere bow hunters in South Africa and iis the hunting editor of Africa’s Bow Hunter magazine, the only bow hunting magazine in South Africa. Among his many accomplishments in the hunting field with clients are the number 1 SCI  buffalo and lion taken with a handgun. His clients hold the top six out of ten sables taken with a bow. One of his clients took a top 5 SCI elephant with a bow. Adriaan has taken a top three SCI Cape Buffalo with the bow. In 2003 Adriaan had 32 clients that killed 342 trophy animals, only 8 not making the SCI book. In the same year his clients shot 38 kudu over fifty inches, all of these were shot with a bow.

Plains Game
     Adriaan hunts concession lands all over South Africa. Because he has been in the business for so long, and his status as hunting editor of Africa’s Bow Hunter, Adriaan has access to the best concessions in South Africa. In addition to concession lands Adriaan has sole control of the Thwane Game Lodge, a 5,000 acre bow only hunting operation near Ellis Ras in South Africa. For rifle hunts Adriaan has leased the hunting rights to the Brak River Preserve. The Brak River Preserve is a 10,000 acre hunting ranch located in the Limpopo Province along the Zimbabwe border. The Brak River Preserve is located in the mountains and the lodge has a breath taking view of the surrounding country side. Having sole control of these two properties allows Adriaan to provide the very best quality trophies to his clients. The properties are approximately 180 miles apart so clients are able to do combination bow and rifle hunts. All accommodations on Thwane and the Brak River Preserve are lavish. The food is five star, complete with several coarse meals including various types of wild game found in South Africa.    

Big 5 Hunts
     In addition to the plains game in South Africa Adriaan conducts his Big 5 hunts in Tanzania. For the 2005 season Adriaan has a 60,000 acre concession in the Selous National Park. This area has never been hunted before and roads have just been added to the area to allow access. Adriaan is one of the few PH’s that has successfully and safely guided several Big 5 hunts with the bow and handgun. The accommodations on Big 5 hunts are outfitter tents. Even though clients will be staying in tents does not mean they will be roughing it. Clients will have access to hot showers and the camp cook will provide top quality cuisine for guests to dine on.

Wing Shooting

     Dinare Safaris also offers a wide variety of wing shooting in South Africa. The wing shooting will be conducted in the Free State. This is the agricultural center of South Africa. Hunters will go after red eyed doves, Cape turtle doves, laughing doves, ducks, geese, Harlequin quail, Egyptian Geese, yellow billed ducks, and spur winged geese.

Daily Fees Include
Accommodations and meals, hunting vehicle, camp personnel, laundry, trackers, skinners, skinning, field preparation, and delivery of trophies to taxidermist, PH guides, hunting permits, and licenses. Travel days are charged at half of the daily fee, including pickup at airport and transportation to and from hunting area. Fees not included: Taxidermy costs, telephone and faxes, airfare, renting of firearms and ammo POR.
